SAICBA-Q co-founder Hon. Karen Gopee was honored at the Caribbean American Lawyers Association’s Annual Gala on June 11, 2026 at El Caribe Country Club, alongside Hon. Edwina Richardson (Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Justice Initiatives), Henry Garrido (Executive Director District Council 37, AFSCME), Fmr. Commissioner Lynelle Maginley-Liddie (New York City Department of Corrections) and Millicent A. Comrie, OD, O.D., MD, MPH, FACOG (Director and Founder of the Center for Women’s Health at Maimonides Medical Center). The event was a festive celebration of Indo-Caribbean American culture, complete with a lively steel drum band and authentic food.
